Our Review
We must confess we were a little more than anxious on our most recent visit to the Broadmoor. There are some things in life that you just shouldnt mess with, and knowing that the resort had just completed a major renovation, we were hoping that the Broadmoors magic would not be in jeopardy. Fortunately, we were not disappointed! Located in Colorado Springs at the foot of Pikes Peak, arguably one of Americas most famous mountains, the Broadmoor has that unique feel that really is a bit hard to put into words, but that consistently draws people back again and again. Surrounded by the mountains, award winning Golf and Spas, and dotted in the center by Cheyenne Lake, the Broadmoor is one of the few resorts in the country to have earned the Mobil Five Star and the AAA Five Diamond ratings every year since the awards were established - and for good reason. The service and staff here are simply superb! In keeping with its commitment to excellence, the resort has just completed an $109 million renovation and it is spectacular. If youve been a guest before, and are wondering about the changes we suspect you will be extremely pleased, as we were with the updates. None of the historical elements were significantly changed except the lake area (which we think has been greatly improved), but the guest rooms received a head to toe renovation that had us dazzled. Our room had the complete feeling of the elegant history of the hotel, along with some of the interesting nooks and crannies that make this hotel unique, but was thoroughly modern in function with wonderful marbled showers (with plenty of pressure), and hi-tech access. Sometimes known as the "Grande Dame of the Rockies," the Broadmoor has been the vacation destination of hundreds of presidents, statesmen, foreign potentates, in addition to many entertainment and sports celebrities. Its wonderful conference facilities make this a very attractive venue for those groups wanting something with more style and warmth than traditional conference properties usually provide and that provides the attendees with that experience theyll be talking about for years to come. Ask if you can join a short historical tour of the hotel. Youll learn some interesting facts about the creator of this unique hotel he was quite a unique character himself!

There are seven hundred guest accommodations at The Broadmoor. These range from elegant individual rooms to gorgeously appointed suites. In the historic Main building you can sleep in rooms where the gold barons of Cripple Creek came to rest. Or if you prefer, choose a suite in the recently completed West Tower with a balcony over the golf course. Luxuriously appointed rooms have either a king bed or two double beds, comfortable period furniture, and elegant, modern bathrooms. Many offer views of beautiful Cheyenne Mountain and the resort's own Cheyenne Lake. The resort is clustered around Cheyenne Lake, which makes all parts of it readily accessible on foot.
