Snuggled up against the Copper Mountain Ski Resort, with super-easy access off Interstate 25, the Village at Copper Mountain is a local Colorado favorite. Why? The skiing is huge, the resort is family friendly, and the bang for the buck is tough to beat. And if you haven't been to Copper Mountain Resort recently, you might not recognize it! The in-progress development of the new Village at Copper Mountain provides a whole new lure to the area, and with the addition of new luxury class accommodations it certainly has garnered our attention at Colorado's Finest Hotels. Although Copper Mountain doesn't have the historical presence of other Colorado mountain towns, the good news it was designed with the future in mind. The Village at Copper Mountain is both compact and upscale which makes for a very attractive and livable home base to operate from - especially in the winter months. With access to some of the best skiing in Colorado right out your front door, and with shops and restaurants all clustered beneath the slope side accommodations, it's hard to imagine anything more fun or convenient than the brand new Village at Copper Mountain.

Our Review of the Village at Copper Mountain:
Copper Mountain is a ski resort village located just seventy miles west of Denver, and has one of the easiest accesses to skiing in Colorado. If you haven't been to Copper in a few years you will be in for a huge (and very pleasant) surprise. Copper Mountain Resort is in the middle of a restoration and expansion process, which at most estimates is in the hundreds of millions of dollars. We're talking big!
The newest part of the resort is an upscale new village cluster called the Village at Copper, which is just west of the original resort. This new venue is still located right at the base of Copper Mountain, at the American Flyer and American Eagle high speed lifts, and has an ever increasing selection of dining and shopping options. Condominium accommodations are distinguished by three categories, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The Gold units have received our Colorado's Finest Hotels award, because their luxury and amenities clearly set them apart from other choices in the area. You can choose from studio, hotel room, one, two, or three-bedroom condos.
Our most recent experience at Copper Mountain was a weekend ski trip. We stayed in the plush Passage Point Lodge, which although it was a few steps further away from the ski lift than other choices, was well worth it. The village is so compact, and well designed that even our lodge was a closer walk than you would have from most ski resorts parking lots. Our view was overlooking the village in front of us, with Copper Mountain as a backdrop. What a beautiful setting! After receiving 3 or 4 inches of Colorado's famous champagne powder overnight, we could hardly wait to hit the slopes. After the usual monotonous morning of carving up the fresh fluff (ok, so maybe it was INCREDIBLE), we headed back to the Passage Point Lodge to grab some lunch. We especially enjoyed this benefit, as we got away from the bustle of the village restaurants and could relax in the privacy of our own luxurious condo. In our own spacious kitchen, dining and living rooms, we could spread out, and could eat and drink to our heart's content!
Copper Mountain boasts the largest ski area in resort-rich Summit County, and is often the resort of choice for local skiers in Colorado. There are an amazing 2,433 acres featuring one hundred twenty five trails. (21% beginner, 25% intermediate, 35% advanced, 18% expert). There are twenty-two lifts and the average seasonable snowfall is 280 inches. Copper Mountain is truly a winter paradise for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and skill levels. We enjoy skiing Copper Mountain Resort and we think you will too - however, there's plenty to do in other seasons. As you might expect from a first class mountain resort destination, Copper Mountain offers hiking, road and mountain biking, fly fishing, horseback riding, and golf to name a few. We have had the opportunity of playing Copper Mountain's two championship golf courses, Copper Creek and the Raven Golf Club. If you have the time we recommend you play them both. The Raven is off property but offers some challenging holes with breathtaking views.
A huge attraction for groups, the Village at Copper Mountain has an unbeatable slope-side conference center, and can easily accommodate groups up to 800 attendees. Copper Mountain Resort's 50,000 square feet of meeting space offers tremendous mountain or village views, and has very flexible configurations. Whatever your needs, from an intimate Board Meeting or Team Building Event to a large trade show or conference, this facility can do it. There is a state of the art Communications Center, which offers full time services such as copier, fax, and Internet access. Additionally, all meeting rooms are equipped for high speed Internet access. The conference staff offers a wide range of conference theme options and all food is prepared in the Copper Mountain kitchens and is always made from scratch.
